Mombasa, Kenya — Learners from Hesed Academy recently embarked on an exciting academic trip from Mombasa to Lake Bogoria, giving them an opportunity to connect classroom learning with real-life experiences.
The trip brought together 26 students and 5 teachers, who travelled together with the aim of exploring Kenya’s natural environment, wildlife, geography and unique physical features.
Lake Bogoria provided an ideal outdoor learning environment where students were able to observe and learn about the lake’s ecosystem, wildlife and surrounding landscape. The learners also gained practical knowledge about conservation and the importance of protecting Kenya’s natural resources.
The academic trip encouraged students to ask questions, make observations and share experiences with their teachers and fellow learners. Such educational journeys help learners develop curiosity, teamwork, responsibility and appreciation for the environment.
For the 26 students, the journey was more than simply travelling to a new destination. It was an opportunity to discover, explore and learn together outside the classroom.
The five teachers accompanying the learners played an important role in guiding and supervising the students throughout the trip, ensuring that learning and safety remained key priorities.
The Lake Bogoria academic trip reflects Hesed Academy’s commitment to providing learners with meaningful experiences that complement classroom instruction. Through educational trips, learners are encouraged to learn, explore, discover and apply knowledge in real-life situations.
The journey from Mombasa to Lake Bogoria will remain a memorable chapter for the students and teachers who participated, creating experiences that extend learning beyond the classroom and inspire learners to appreciate the beauty and diversity of Kenya.
